Summer Food Program

The Summer Food Program ensures that area children have at least one nutritious meal per day while school is not in session. Lunches are served Monday through Friday to children 18 and under at various sites in the Randolph County area.

What is the purpose of this program? The Summer Food Program helps to ensure that the children in our community have access to nutritious meals when school is not in session.

What problem is this program hoping to solve? To make sure children 18 and under receive USDA approve meal Monday through Friday while school is not in session

Impact or Results from the Program? The Summer Food Program provided meals for the last 15 years to children in our area. During the summer of 2020 the program ran from March – July serving 93,483 meals.
